The State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT) reports an increase in the prices of most basic food products, fruits, and vegetables on the commodity exchanges in Bulgaria in its bulletin this week.
The Market Price Index (ITC), which reflects the movement of food prices wholesale in Bulgaria, increased by 1.38 percent to 2.497 points compared to 2.463 points a week earlier.
Vegetables:
- The largest price increase for cabbage (22.64% to 0.52 euros/kg) and zucchini (21.78% to 2.55 euros/kg).
- Price increases for peppers (green - 16.31% to 2.51 euros/kg, red - 9.77% to 2.45 euros/kg), cucumbers (10.48% to 2.51 euros/kg), potatoes (8% to 0.54 euros/kg), and carrots (1.35% to 0.60 euros/kg).
- Price decrease for onions (12.24% to 0.43 euros/kg) and tomatoes (3.43% to 1.86 euros/kg).
Fruits:
- Increase for all observed fruits.
- The largest increase for bananas (9.4% to 1.56 euros/kg).
- Price increases for lemons (5.93%), oranges (3.81%), apples (3.79%), and tangerines (3.69%).
Dairy products and eggs:
- Price increase for white cheese (1.82% to 6.26 euros/kg).
- Price decrease for kashkaval (0.5%).
- Price decrease for yogurt (4.01%) and fresh milk (2.91%).
- Price decrease for butter (2.04%).
- Price increase for eggs (2.8%).
Other products:
- Price decrease for frozen chicken meat (0.73%), rice (0.85%), flour (3.15%), and beans (0.56%).
- Price increase for oil (2.14%), sugar (0.65%), and lentils (1.55%).
