It is high time for our judicial system to function in a way that guarantees genuine rule of law. This was stated by President Rumen Radev at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", where he attended the presentation of a phototype edition of "Macedonian Almanach".

The head of state's statement came against the backdrop of a decision by the Supreme Cassation Court (SCC), made earlier today. The decision is related to the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov. It is not difficult to assume that the public is closely following all developments in this context, given their impact on the functioning of key institutions in the country.

In response to a journalist's question, President Radev clarified: "I do not want to comment on the court's decision, but it is obviously ruling according to the law, and it is very clear". The words of the head of state emphasize the importance of transparency and compliance with legal procedures in the work of the judiciary. This comment further highlights the ongoing debates around the principles of the rule of law and the need for their strict observance.
