Sozopol Municipality is organizing a working meeting for the SCeNiC project (Sozopol-Chernomorets Eco-Innovation for St. Nicolas Port Cleanup), implemented within the framework of the European initiative RHE-MEDiation, funded by the Horizon Europe program.

Starting time: 10 a.m.
During the event, the following will be presented:
- the analyses of the state of the aquatic environment and port infrastructure performed so far;
- the results of the monitoring and technical studies;
- the possibilities for implementing innovative solutions to reduce pollution;
- the next steps and planned activities of the project.
The meeting will bring together representatives of local authorities, experts, scientific organizations, the fishing community, non-governmental organizations and interested parties.
The SCeNiC project aims to demonstrate the applicability of innovative solutions for improving the quality of marine waters and the sustainable management of small port areas, through integrated monitoring, technical analyses and activation of a Living Lab for the port infrastructure in the area of Sozopol and Chernomorets.
The initiative contributes to the goals of the EU Mission "Restore our oceans and waters" and the sustainable development of the blue economy in the Black Sea region.
