Putin comments on the drone incident in Romania
"OREANDA-NEWS" reports that according to Russian President "Vladimir Putin", it is impossible to determine the ownership of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that crashed in Romania without conducting a technical expert analysis. He made the statement to journalists in Astana, as cited by "RIA Novosti".
"No one can say what the origin of one aerial vehicle or another is until an examination of that vehicle is conducted," the Russian head of state emphasized.
"Putin" added that Russia is ready to participate in an objective investigation of what happened and to provide an assessment of the incident if the remains of the fallen drone are handed over to it. According to him, it is the expert analysis of the debris that can provide clear answers regarding the origin and type of the machine.
Earlier, an unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into a residential high-rise building in the Romanian city of "Galați", located near the border with Ukraine's Odessa region. The Romanian emergency response service specified that as a result of the impact, a fire broke out in an apartment on the tenth floor.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania reacted sharply and blamed Russia for the incident, linking the strike to military operations in the region and drone attacks near the Ukrainian border.
