The parliamentary session was interrupted after order in the hall was violated. Prior to this, a proposal was made to include the second reading of the amendments to the Election Code in the agenda of the plenary session.

The proposal to include the new item was made by the chairing deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Kostadin Angelov, after discussion at the chairman's council.

Initially, the MPs agreed to consider the amendments to the Election Code as the first item today. However, "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" requested a re-vote, preceded by a quorum check. After the announcement of the result of the check was delayed, MPs in the hall began to chant "Time" and to bang on the desks. After the chanting continued without Angelov announcing the result, he gave a 10-minute break.

Before that, Petar Petrov ("Vazrazhdane") made a counter-proposal not to consider the amendments, arguing that nothing good would come of it. We must not allow this next mockery of electoral legislation, he commented.

Earlier, "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) issued a declaration against the urgent entry for discussion in the plenary hall of the amendments to the Election Code.
