Major budget changes are upcoming in the National Assembly
The ruling government has announced a package of anti-crisis measures aimed at optimizing state spending. Among the main proposals are:
- Reduction of the party subsidy per vote received.
- Elimination of the COVID supplement to pensions.
- Change in the ceiling of the national debt.
"The measures have been coordinated with the Ministry of Finance and are part of a more complex plan," commented Konstantin Prodanov, chairman of the temporary budget committee.
Despite concerns about delays, the committee assured that they do not expect any problems with the adoption of the regular budget. Procedurally, the final vote is expected at the beginning of August.
