Firefighters put out 26 fires across Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, and one person was injured. The figures come from the Interior Ministry's Fire Safety and Population Protection Directorate and are as of 6am today.
Crews responded to 71 reports of incidents.
Ten of the fires caused direct property damage: four in residential buildings, three in vehicles and one in an outdoor structure.
The other 16 fires caused no damage. Nine of them were in waste, two in cooking appliances and chimneys, and one in dry grass, forest litter and bushes.
Firefighters also went out on 40 rescue and assistance calls, including road accidents, other incidents and requests for technical help. They received five false alarms in the same 24 hours.
