A fire has broken out in the area of the Sunny Beach resort complex, as reported by BTA. The blaze has engulfed areas of dry grass and low-lying shrubs, and the situation is being complicated by a strong easterly wind, which is causing heavy smoke in the vicinity.
Teams with four fire trucks and a water tanker have been dispatched to the scene of the incident. The area is considered high-risk due to the proximity of residential complexes and warehouse facilities. There are currently no reports of any injuries, BTA informed.
According to official data from the Ministry of Interior, initial reports suggest that the fire started due to people who had set up unauthorized tents in the area. Law enforcement officers have already evacuated the individuals in question, and police teams remain on-site.
According to information from BGNES, the flames spread and entered the yard of a warehouse facility. There, the fire affected stored wooden pallets and a large amount of waste.
Firefighters are continuing their efforts to fully extinguish the hot spots and limit the damage. According to BNT, the fire has now been contained, and there is no direct threat to tourists and residents in the area.
