Pharmacy managers in Burgas reported increased demand for flu medications and preventive products in recent days. Pharmacists told a BTA reporter that interest is mainly directed towards antiviral medications and means to alleviate the symptoms of flu and acute respiratory infections. There is also increased demand for products to support the immune system and seasonal food supplements.
According to the observations of pharmacists, the demand for products related to COVID-19 remains weak. At the same time, there is currently no shortage of medications, as stocks in the pharmacy network are sufficient.
The increased demand for flu products is observed against the background of the pre-epidemic situation in Burgas, which the health authorities in Burgas announced yesterday. The data show an increase in cases of flu and acute respiratory illnesses in the region, with the situation being monitored daily and additional anti-epidemic measures can be taken if necessary.
