Today, over 200 people with disabilities will receive innovative assistive devices, stated the outgoing Minister of Social Affairs Borislav Gutsanov. The decision was announced at a briefing in the Council of Ministers after the end of the government session.

According to Gutsanov, a few months ago, over 2000 people were given the opportunity to receive modern assistive devices. Those in need could choose a supplier, signing a tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs.

With the new decision, financed with 5 million euros, the waiting list has been removed and all those who have requested will be satisfied.

A special coordination mechanism for supporting municipalities for disaster prevention has also been approved, with a budget of over 40 million euros under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The Minister emphasized the importance of prevention, as mayors and regional governors will determine the measures.
