Pomorie council is collecting old electrical appliances, batteries, accumulators and bulky household waste free of charge in October 2026, the council said. The campaign covers Pomorie, Aheloy and Kableshkovo and is running again.
Residents, businesses, organisations and institutions from the three towns can take part.
Large household items such as sofas, living room sets, cabinets, wardrobes and more are also accepted.
People book a pickup by phone. The owner then puts the waste in a suitable spot in front of the address given in the booking, and the council collects it on a schedule. The service is completely free.
Everything handed in goes for recycling. The council says this means less waste will reach the landfill, raw materials and resources will be saved, and the environment will be cleaner.
The council's announcement does not give the phone numbers for bookings.
