Police in Kameno have identified a 43-year-old man from Dobrinishte on suspicion of stealing a mobile phone and €20 from a 59-year-old local woman. The Burgas regional police directorate reported the case.
The man admitted everything to officers and returned the phone and money to the woman.
According to the Interior Ministry, he has a criminal record and has previous convictions.
Police did not say when or where the theft happened, or how the man got hold of the items. They also did not give the value of the phone.
The ministry confirmed he has been detained, but did not say on what grounds or what charge he faces.
