On the occasion of International Children's Book Day, students from "Lyuben Karavelov" Primary School initiated their literary participation in the Book March. For another year with enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity, they are participating in the Campaign to promote children's reading.
The opening was marked by several events. The awarding of those who distinguished themselves in the school competition for video recitation of a poem by Ran Bosilek was exciting. The event was on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the author's birth. Publishing house "Znatsi" provided the awards and they were presented by Rumyana Emanuilidu.
A meeting of the 7th grade students and the poetess Lilia Hristova under the motto "Flights, springs..." took place at the House of the Writer. The author talked about the path of her books, about inspiration, about the process of writing and editing, and the students recited her poems.
The meeting showed that interest in contemporary Bulgarian poetry remains alive and natural. The students did not just listen, but talked, asked questions, sought meaning in the author's words - proof that when literature meets young people up close, it finds its way to them.
Diana Fartunova, journalist and writer, visited the 2nd grade with her children's "Book with a computer mouse", on which the children made a short dramatization and sang a song. The conversations were extremely interesting and the children realized how important and pleasant it is to read and play in nature, and not to spend their free time in front of a screen.
Fourth graders from all-day education met with Teodora Papadopulova and her "School Stories". The meeting was held under the sign of smiles and pleasant dialogue. Every year, students from "Lyuben Karavelov" Primary School attend a library lesson at the "Lyuben Karavelov" Community Center on the occasion of the Book March. In an intriguing and memorable way, Valentina Kaneva opens doors to the life and work of different authors. This year the meeting was with the favorite of generations of young and old - Ran Bosilek. The students of the 4th "v" class, inspired by the Patilan stories, discussed ideas and began building a humor board.
Within the framework of the Book March, many meetings with authors, literary events, performances, reading and discussion of books are planned. The most anticipated literary April is a stage for the performance of each class and an important event in the life of "Lyuben Karavelov" Primary School.
