Dr. Georgi Matev, long-time head of the resuscitation department at UMBAL-Burgas, former executive director of the healthcare facility, has left us.
Regarding the sad news, the mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, offered his sincere condolences to the family and relatives of Dr. Matev.

Dr. Georgi Matev will remain in the minds of the people of Burgas as a respected medic, one of the best specialists in his field. Together with him, we worked side by side for the development of the Burgas hospital. I offer my sincere condolences on the occasion of the death of Dr. Georgi Matev to his family, relatives and friends. He is a person who leaves a bright mark and will be missed by all of us. The memorial service will be on December 23 (Monday) at 11 am in the Ritual Hall of the Burgas Cemetery Park.
