Series of traffic violations in Varna
Varna police detained three drivers who seriously endangered traffic safety over the past 24 hours. One of them was driving with a record amount of alcohol in his blood.
A truck driver was caught with 2.86 per mille of alcohol after being spotted swerving on the road.
Details of the arrests:
- Truck driver: Stopped around 9:00 PM by a Municipal Police team. The breathalyzer test showed an impressive 2.86 per mille of alcohol.
- Resident of Rudnik village: A 62-year-old man was detained by Fourth District Police officers following a check that recorded 1.6 per mille of alcohol.
- After drug use: A 24-year-old resident of Devnya is in custody after driving under the influence of amphetamine and methamphetamine.
Fast-track police proceedings have been initiated in all three cases, and the offenders have been detained for a period of up to 24 hours.
