Five parties enter parliament, and two others have realistic chances of entering it if the elections were held in mid-February, according to results from the independent monthly research program of the sociological agency "Mera".
Leaders in the Race for Parliament
- Rumen Radev: 33.3% — highest level of support
- GERB-SDS: 18.9%
- PP-DB: 12.7%
- DPS-NN: 10.7%
- "Revival": 6.8%
- MECH: 3.9%
- BSP: 3.7%
- "Greatness": 2.3%
- ITN: 2.1%
- APS: 1.9%
Other votes are for smaller formations, adds "Mera".
Engagement and Uncertainty
51.5% of voters declared engagement — meaning the potential for a sensitive shift among three million voters. Of these, 1.5% stated they would vote "I support no one".
Independent Research, Yet With Limitations
"Of course, the data are not a forecast of election results, but a snapshot with many unknowns. The fieldwork took place during the peak of the "Petrohan" scandal, and could only partially reflect the impact of Krum Zarkov's election as chairman of the BSP," the sociologists add.
Methodology and Reliability
The data come from an independent study conducted as part of the regular research program of the sociological agency "Mera". The survey was carried out "face to face" using tablets between February 9 and 15, 2026, among 812 adult Bulgarian citizens. The maximum margin of error is ±3.5% at 50% shares. 1% of the total sample equates to approximately 54,000 people.
