"Bulgarian Posts" will pay out pensions and their related supplements in the period from September 4 to September 18, 2026. The change to the standard schedule was necessitated by amendments to the Ordinance on Pensions and Insurance Service, which came into effect on July 24, 2026.
According to the new regulations, post offices carry out payments via electronic payment cards between the 7th and the 20th day of the current month. In cases where these dates fall on non-working days, the process is shifted to the preceding working day.
The company explained that because September 7, 2026, is a non-working day, the process will start on September 4. Since September 20 falls on a Sunday, the deadline for receiving the funds will be September 18. Pensioners can collect their pensions and supplements at their serving post offices within these dates.
