The first edition of the forum “Parade of Professions: Discover Your Talent, Choose a Profession” was opened at the “Neftohimik” Cultural Center in Burgas as part of the national campaign for career activation of young people up to 29 years old.

The event aims to encourage the connection between business, education, and young people. The organizer is the career guidance company “OMNI Human Development” (OMNI Human Development) with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Employment Agency, and Burgas Municipality.

The forum in Burgas is the last within the national campaign, said Vaska Baklarova from “OMNI Human Development” (OMNI Human Development) at the opening. According to her, the initiative aims to activate young people both in the labor market and in the dialogue with companies.

“We live in a dynamic economic environment in which some professions are disappearing, and others are emerging,” said the Deputy Mayor for Finance, Budget, Economy and Maritime Affairs of Burgas Municipality, Stanimir Apostolov. He emphasized that such forums create an opportunity for direct contact between employers, educational institutions, students, and parents.

The Deputy Mayor for Education, Healthcare, Social Activities and Youth Policies, Mihail Nenov, noted that the initiative is an example of effective cooperation between business and education. According to him, such events support the discussion of the real needs of the labor market and encourage dual training.

Within the framework of the forum, vocational high schools and companies from the region presented themselves with their own stands. Among the participants was “Silver Star Motors” (Silver Star Motors) – the official representative of “Mercedes-Benz” (Mercedes-Benz AG) for Bulgaria, which presented opportunities for career development in the automotive sector.

Students and young people had the opportunity to talk to employers and get information about internships and professional realization.
