The favorite destination of Burgas residents and guests of the city – St. Anastasia Island, will welcome Season 2026 with even better conditions for visitors with motor and visual impairments. A project was successfully finalized by a contract between the Municipal Enterprise “Tourism“ – Burgas and the Agency for People with Disabilities.
Visitors will experience the history of the island in an accessible and safe environment. Improvements have been made to the safe cognitive route.
- Renewed and leveled paths made of semi-processed stone slabs (two routes).
- An information board with Braille and a tactile image of the “Ship” phenomenon has been placed.
- The elevator door to the museum exhibition has been renovated.
- The models from the tactile exhibition “The Fish of the Black Sea” have been renovated and new tactile exhibits have been created.
- Information art installation for people with visual impairments.
- Three-dimensional tactile models in the church.
St. Anastasia Island is one of the iconic national tourist sites, which constantly improves accessibility and the quality of experience.
