A chitalishte in Burgas is launching eight free hobby clubs for pupils. The "Asen Zlatarov 1940" chitalishte says classes start on October 1, 2026 and run until May 31, 2027. There's no selection process — any pupil can join.
The clubs meet at the chitalishte's building at 147 Alexandrovska Street, and each session lasts two hours. Batik meets twice a week, on Monday and Thursday from 4pm to 6pm. "The Magic of Numbers" meets Tuesday at the same time, crochet is on Wednesday, and word games are on Friday.
Saturday's schedule runs from 10am to 6pm and covers fine art, applied arts, chess and situational English. Sunday is a day off.

Organisers say the programme mixes creativity, logical thinking and language learning to spark children's curiosity and help them showcase their potential.
Burgas council is running the "Talents of Burgas" project together with the chitalishte under the "Support for Talented Pupils" scheme, project number BG05SFPR001-2.003-0090. Burgas council is the beneficiary, with the chitalishte as partner. The money comes from the "Education" programme 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union.
