United Municipal School of Arts - Nessebar Wins Nearly a Dozen Awards at Competitions in Verona and Varna

Students of the United Municipal School of Arts - Nessebar returned with an impressive success from two music festivals. The young talents were awarded nearly a dozen prizes from the competitions in Verona, Italy, and Varna, Bulgaria, demonstrating high achievements in the field of folk art.

Graduates of the United Municipal School of Arts - Nessebar were adorned with nearly a dozen awards from two competitions held in Verona, Italy, and Varna.

From the first edition of the International Competition Festival "Folk Nuances - Verona", the young talents from the bagpipe class with teachers Petko Stoyanov and Dimitar Petev won 6 awards. The bagpipe group and the Duo "Kaba Gaidi" won one 1st place in their categories. Yordan Gochev, Stoyan Gochev and Radoslav Stoyanov also have three first places. Marian Kolev was awarded 2nd place, and Martin Zhekov - 3rd place.

The organizer of the festival is the Music Company "Folk Nuances". Performers from Bulgaria, Italy, Canada and Armenia also participated in the festival.

From the National Music Festival "Folklore Sunrise" in Varna, the children of OMOSH - Nessebar were awarded 5 prizes. From the folk singing class with teacher Neli Taneva, the duet Elena and Emilia Zhekovi won 1st place. Also with first place are: Hristo Stoyanov, Pravena Chimbuleva and the Children's Folklore Group at OMOSH. From the bagpipe class with teacher Petko Stoyanov, Alexander Andonov was also awarded first place.

The festival in Varna is of a competitive nature. The organizers are the Music Company "Sunrise Marinov" and Folklore Television "Sunrise Music", with the partner the International Folklore Organization CIOFF.
