The National Fire Safety System reported an intensive 24-hour period with a total of 90 extinguished fires, with official data from the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (GDPBZN) revealing the large-scale operational activity of rescue teams.

Statistics show 130 reports of various incidents, with direct material damage registered in 15 of them. The distribution of damages includes eight fires in residential buildings, one in temporary structures, and six in vehicles.

An interesting detail is that the remaining 75 fires did not cause material losses. These incidents cover 41 cases in dry grass and bushes, two in stubble fields, 23 in waste, and nine in other locations.

Rescue teams performed 32 operations to control and prevent damage, with eight false calls also registered.

Chief Commissioner Aleksandar Djartov, director of GDPBZN, shared critical observations about the fire in the Pirin Mountain, defining hurricane winds as the main challenge. During this incident, 31 fire trucks and over 180 specialists participated - including firefighters, volunteers, forest workers, and police officers.

Djartov emphasized collective responsibility, calling on every citizen to be active in fire prevention. Statistical data confirm an increasing trend - in the past month alone, around 3,500 fires occurred in the country, representing an increase of nearly 500 cases compared to the same period last year.
