With a grand event at the "Hristo Botев" School - Marinca, the newly built STEM center has officially opened - a modern educational space created to inspire students and develop their knowledge and skills in science and technology.

Official Ceremony

The Director of the "Education and Youth Policies" Directorate in Burgas Municipality, Katya Mihaylova, welcomed the school's management team, staff, and students on behalf of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and wished that the STEM center would become a place of inspiration where theory meets practice.

Greetings and wishes were also sent by Valentina Kamalieva, Head of the Regional Education Administration in Burgas, and Antoneta Dimcheva, Director of "Hristo Botev" School in Marinca.

Interactive Demonstration

Students from the school welcomed their guests with an interesting question-and-answer game in various fields of knowledge. Correct answers earned them a code to unlock the STEM center. Afterwards, students demonstrated the modern equipment of the innovative classrooms through presentations and honored their guests with performances of folk songs.

Modern Laboratory

The STEM center is constructed in the directions of "Natural Sciences" and "Mathematics and Informatics" and includes two high-technology classrooms. In the STEM "Center for Natural Sciences, Research and Innovation," a modern laboratory has been established for biology, chemistry, physics, and astronomy. Thanks to the modern equipment, students will have the opportunity to more easily understand complex scientific concepts, enhance their achievements, and develop an interest in science, mathematics, and technical education.

Innovative Workshop

In the mathematics and informatics classroom workshop, which is part of the center, activities will also be held in natural sciences. The space has been created to encourage team work, creativity, and practical thinking among students. Through the application of learning by doing, students will integrate knowledge from different academic subjects and work on contextual projects aimed at real problems and results.

Technological Environment

The center is equipped with high-technology equipment, including educational VR/AR technology. Using the zSpace system, students can work with virtual 3D holograms, which they can view, touch, dissect, and assemble. This interactive environment combines virtual and augmented reality, 3D technologies, and a touch function, creating a realistic and captivating learning experience.

The classroom workshop of the "Makerspace" type is equipped with computer stations and a 3D printer, which allows for the realization of creative ideas in the model "From mind, through technology to matter." An interactive "magic floor" has also been built, combining education and play, stimulating movement, coordination, and perception among students, including children with special educational needs.

Each of the classroom spaces is equipped with interactive displays with integrated computer modules, enabling the use of various educational and presentation applications.

Support and Congratulations

The event was also attended by the mayor of the Burgas village of Marinca, Ivan Agafonov, president of the Zonta Club - Burgas Nadya Zhelieva, as well as the former school director, members of the school board, teachers, and students.

Important Step for Education

With the implementation of the STEM center, "Hristo Botev" School in Marinca takes an important step towards modern, innovative, and practice-oriented education that prepares students for the challenges of the future.
