Sozopol Municipal Council Approved Estimates for 2026: Priorities and European Projects

The Sozopol Municipal Council approved the provisional estimates for 2026, including priority payments, an investment program, and an indicative estimate for European projects worth over 18 million euros.

The Municipal Council in Sozopol adopted at its regular meeting the provisional calculations of the municipality for 2026 until the adoption of the budget. The councilors prioritized payments, including salaries, social payments, current expenses, debt servicing, and capital expenditures.

The Council agreed that the mayor should make expenditures upon receiving targeted transfers, service loan obligations according to the contracts, and provide temporary interest-free loans between different budget accounts in order to implement projects financed by European and international programs.

The municipality's investment program for 2026, amounting to over 2.36 million euros, was also approved, as well as the allocation of the capital subsidy. An indicative calculation of funds for European projects, amounting to over 18 million euros, was also adopted.

The councilors also voted for subsidies for community centers, sports clubs, and non-profit organizations, as well as funds for social activities, including aid for families with newborns and scholarships for outstanding athletes.

The agenda also included decisions related to employees' transportation expenses, social benefits, and representation expenses.
