Primorsko Municipality will renovate an old and non-functional building, turning it into a modern children's and youth center. The idea is part of the local administration's strategy to support the development of children and young people in the region, the city's mayor Ivan Gaykov told BTA.
It is planned that the site, located opposite the "Samoobrazovanie – 1919" community center in the central part of Primorsko, will be adapted and renovated as a space in which young people will be able to study, develop new skills, meet and exchange ideas. The new center will offer a variety of initiatives, including training with leading specialists from different fields and access to modern technologies.
"The real responsibility is towards the children and the future we leave them", Mayor Gaykov emphasized. He added that the project is aimed not only at the educational, but also at the social development of adolescents. According to him, the center will be a place where young people can "learn to value labor" and prepare for life's challenges.
The project is currently at the conceptual stage, and according to Gaykov, its implementation is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. For now, no exact deadlines have been announced for the start of construction and repair works, as well as the specific sources of funding.
The mayor also specified that the implementation of the project will cost between 150,000 and 250,000 euros. He added that a contractor has already been selected for the construction of the new fishing port in the resort town.
