In November 2025, the Pomorie Municipality project “Salty Symphony: Art and Vision for Cultural Development“ was approved by the National Culture Fund for funding under the Grant Scheme “New Generation of Local Cultural Policies for Small Municipalities“ under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
As part of the project, together with the Salt Museum - Pomorie, a number of activities were implemented, including a festival, masterclasses, workshops, a literary reading, and a marketing strategy.
Within the framework of the “Salty Symphony” activities, a team from Pomorie Municipality, led by Mayor Ivan Aleksiev, visited the MUSA Salt Museum in Cervia, Italy. The aim was to exchange experience, study European practices and develop a strategic document for cultural policies.
The guests met with curator Dejana Conficoni, as well as representatives of the Municipality of Cervia and local initiative groups. Opportunities for cultural tourism and cooperation between Pomorie and Cervia were discussed.
The hosts told about the history of the museum, located in a former salt warehouse, with a rich exhibition and interactive presentations. A guided tour was organized.
The project is nearing its end, with the development of new cultural policies and a documentary film on the subject to come.
The publication was created within the framework of Project BG-RRP-11.022-0012 – Salty Symphony: Art and Vision for Cultural Development, funded by the National Culture Fund under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
