Burgas Municipality is taking action to improve the conditions in the social service “Temporary Accommodation Center” in the “Akatsite” district. For this purpose, a project proposal will be prepared to apply to the “Social Protection” Fund at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy for the repair and reconstruction of the building.
The proposal will be considered at the Municipal Council session on March 17.
The building needs repair work and improvement of material and living conditions. The planned activities include the repair of the rooms, sanitary facilities, corridors and common areas, as well as the replacement of the electrical installation.
The realization of the project will improve the material base, the quality of support and the conditions for temporary accommodation, as well as the working environment.
The Center provides support to individuals and families in crisis situations, its main goal being to provide temporary shelter, a safe environment and social support.
Improving the conditions is an important step towards improving the quality of social care in Burgas.
