Burgas Municipality announces the start of a new session for 2026 to collect project proposals to support start-up companies aimed at developing the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The initiative aims to provide a real opportunity for newly established companies, creative teams and students in the municipality to turn their innovative ideas into a sustainable business with direct benefits for the residents of Burgas.
Who can apply?
The program is aimed at a wide range of participants who want to start or develop activities in the territory of Burgas Municipality:
- Individuals and legal entities (micro and small enterprises), registered under the Commercial Law up to 3 years before the date of application;
- Teams of at least two individuals, united around a common business idea;
- Students from Burgas over the age of 16 who are taking their first steps in entrepreneurship.
Comprehensive support for success
Burgas Municipality provides not only financial, but also logistical and expert support for the approved projects.
Support for start-up companies includes one or a combination of the following activities:
- Direct financing – one-time support in the amount of up to EUR 2,556.46 (BGN 5,000) to cover up to 50% of the project value;
- Full funding for student teams – up to EUR 2,556.46 (BGN 5,000), without the requirement for co-financing;
- Mentoring and training – consultations, training and a special 3-month package of services for the development of a professional business plan, including access to office space, technical and logistical resources.
Eligibility criteria
The main requirement is that the projects are implemented for the first time in the territory of Burgas and offer practical solutions to economic, social or environmental challenges in the region.
Deadline and evaluation
The deadline for submitting project proposals is April 13, 2026.
All submitted proposals will be considered by the Standing Committee to the Municipal Council - Burgas, which will assess their sustainability and contribution to the economic development of the municipality.
