Burgas Municipality invites all children aged 13 to 16 to apply for members of the Children's Council to the State Agency for Child Protection (SACP).

What is the Children's Council?

The Children's Council is a national consultative body, established in 2003 in implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Its members participate directly in the development of policies and programs for the protection and development of children in Bulgaria, discuss proposals to state institutions and local authorities and promote the rights of children throughout the country. This is a real opportunity for young people to be heard at the national level.

Who can apply?

The invitation is open to children aged 13 to 16 who are active, initiative and want to work for the benefit of their peers. Candidates can participate in one of the four areas: as members of student councils or youth parliaments, as representatives of youth initiatives funded by businesses, as representatives of non-governmental organizations working with children, or with an individual application.

How to apply?

Candidates fill out an application form and a motivational letter, in which they describe their motivation, past activities and ideas for working in the Council.
