A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Panama on Monday, local time, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. The quake was 35 km deep.
The centre said there were no reports of injuries or damage so far.
The new quake follows a magnitude 7.7 earthquake on Friday. The central provinces were hit hardest. Emergency services say at least 27 people were hurt and almost 900 houses were damaged. Infrastructure was also damaged.
More than 300 aftershocks have been recorded in Panama since Friday's quake. Over the weekend, the government declared a national state of emergency.
