New Border Checkpoints: Bulgaria and Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey to Open New Border Crossings

The Council of Ministers approved draft agreements for the construction of new joint border crossing points with the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey. The opening of the border crossings "Kalotina 2" and "Kapitan Andreevo-Kapikule-North" is planned.

The Council of Ministers approved draft agreements for the construction of new joint border crossing points (BCPs) with the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey.

Bulgaria and Serbia: BCP "Kalotina 2"

A draft Agreement for the opening of a joint border crossing point "Kalotina 2" (Bulgaria) and "Gradina 2" (Serbia) has been approved. It is planned that the BCP will be located on Bulgarian territory near the BCP "Kalotina", for persons and light vehicles, with seasonal engagement and a specified working time.

Bulgaria and Turkey: BCP "Kapitan Andreevo-Kapikule-North"

An agreement with Turkey for the opening of a new border crossing "Kapitan Andreevo-Kapikule-North" has also been approved. The new BCP will be located in the area of the village of Kapitan Andreevo (Bulgaria) and the village of Kapikule (Turkey), north of the existing border crossing.

Mixed Expert Commissions

It is planned to create Mixed Expert Commissions that will specify the technical characteristics of the road connections, the location of the routes and other details related to the construction and operation of the new border points.
