A bill has been introduced in parliament to introduce new social assistance, which will be paid twice a year - before Easter and Christmas. Denitsa Sacheva, Deputy Chair of the GERB-SDS parliamentary group, informed about the initiative.

A subordinate normative act is to be drawn up, which will determine the specific scope of people who will receive the support. The aid is expected to be directed towards large families, single parents, people with disabilities and the poorest pensioners.

Sacheva noted that the goal is to direct the general funds towards meaningful measures that provide opportunities for the development of the state, instead of turning the holidays into a bidding war for pension supplements.
