A new volleyball club, Kitipova 777, is signing up children in Pomorie, the club said. Training runs five days a week, from 3pm to 6pm, at two schools in the town.
At Ivan Vazov secondary school, children will train on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. At Hristo Botev primary school, sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday. Parents who want to enrol their child can call 0899 127 205.
The club wants to raise a new generation of young athletes in Pomorie. Larisa Kitipova is its president and head coach. She has worked for many years in youth training schools, and dozens of children have come through them. The club describes her as a coach who insists on strict discipline and good tactical training. She demands a lot, but looks for each child's strengths and builds on them.
Kitipova's daughters are world-class volleyball players, and her family has produced world champions for Bulgaria.
