A modern STEM center has opened its doors at the Professional High School of Computer Programming and Innovation (PHSCPI) in Burgas. The official event was attended by Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, as well as representatives of the academic community and educational institutions.
High technologies in education
"It is a pleasure to watch how this place turned from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan," Mayor Dimitar Nikolov stated at the opening.
The STEM center is part of the high school's strategy to develop the "Natural Sciences" concept. Students will have access to:
- High-tech laboratory equipment;
- An interactive zSpace system for virtual and augmented reality;
- 3D printers and robotic arms;
- High-performance computer configurations.
Principal Dimitrina Todorova revealed that by the end of May, the school will become the first municipal International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Bulgaria. The center will serve as a training base for biology, chemistry, physics, and "Embedded Systems Programming," providing an environment for both real and virtual experiments.
