The attacked ship Chelsea-3 will be towed to the port of Burgas in a second attempt, after the first was called off because of bad weather, defence minister Dimitar Stoyanov said.
The ship is about 10 km east of the resort of Lozenets.
The ministry's priority is joint action in the region, Stoyanov said. He said a high-level meeting is due very soon with the defence ministers of Turkey and Romania and the defence chiefs of the three countries. They will discuss security steps and how to coordinate action in the Black Sea.
"The most important thing is for us here in the Black Sea region, together with Romania and Turkey, to work out a single strategy for action," the minister said.
Stoyanov believes the Baltic states have a successful record in handling crises, and that Black Sea countries can use it too. He said Bulgaria keeps close ties with them and expects their full political support in the current situation.
