From the academic year 2026/2027, Burgas will be home to a branch of the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov". This was discussed by the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Sergey Ignatov, the Mayor of Burgas Municipality Dimitar Nikolov, and the Rector of the National Academy of Music Prof. Sava Dimitrov.
The branch will offer training in full-time and part-time forms in the professional field of "Music and Dance Arts".
Full-time training: Will include specializations such as classical, pop and jazz singing, folk singing, classical guitar, kaval, gaida, gadulka, tambura, pop and jazz guitar and bass guitar.
Part-time training: Ballet pedagogy and folk choreography.
The training will be conducted by established lecturers, and students will have the opportunity to actively participate in creative activities and access scientific resources. The opening of the branch is part of the strategic development of the Academy.
Minister Ignatov also got acquainted with the under-construction high-tech student campus in Burgas, which will be used by all universities in the city. The campus will have dormitories, scientific laboratories, conference halls, sports facilities and charging stations.
In addition, the Minister met with the management of the Little Bulgarian School in Chicago, following a decision by the Ministry of Education and Science for its official recognition.
