Archbishop Svetoslav Vasilev officially established the Apostolic Old Catholic Mission in July 2025 as an innovative Anglican-oriented project. The new structure represents an independent branch, focused on serving foreign Christian communities in Bulgaria and beyond its borders.

The mission will provide services in English, while simultaneously demonstrating a high degree of managerial autonomy. The target group includes diverse professional communities – from international students through diplomatic circles to foreign working specialists.

The creation of this apostolic branch reflects a strategic vision for expanding religious dialogue and supporting the global Christian community. The organization possesses its own governing board and emphasizes the preservation of traditional Catholic liturgical practices with valid apostolic succession.

The official registration in 2025 marks an important step towards building a modern, open, and internationally oriented religious network with a clearly expressed ecumenical spirit.
