Teams from the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture (EAFA) in Burgas have uncovered a case of illegal commercial fishing in Lake Vaya.
During a patrol, the inspectors noticed a man fishing with a boat equipped with an engine.
Seven gillnets with a total length of 140 meters were seized on the spot – unmarked and handmade, as well as the boat and engine.
The inspection revealed that the man did not possess a permit for commercial fishing.
An act of administrative violation was issued to the offender.
