On August 15, Nesebar will celebrate its traditional city holiday, coinciding with the Orthodox holiday of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. This year's celebrations are particularly significant as they mark the 70th anniversary of the official recognition of the settlement as an international tourist and museum complex.

The festive program starts with a solemn holy liturgy at the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" church, followed by an official ceremony of raising the national flag in front of the historic fortress walls. The organizers have prepared diverse events for different age groups.

The children's program includes attractive events such as a circus performance by the Academic Circus "Balkanski" in the Southern Park and a theatrical production of "The Fisherman and the Golden Fish" at "Julieta Shishmanova" Square. The evening program promises a rich musical spectacle with several stages and performers.

At the "Zhana Chimbureva" Amphitheater, a "Latino Magic" show will take place with the participation of the Nesebar Sports Dance Club. Simultaneously, a concert "Balkan Rhythm" will sound near the fortress walls, featuring performers such as Danislav Kehayov, Neli Taneva, Sofia Glavopoulou, and others.

The culmination of the festive evening will be the concert of the world-famous group Chico & The Gypsies, founded by former Gipsy Kings member Chico Castillo. Their flamenco and Latin pop style promises an unforgettable musical experience.

Before midnight, viewers will be surprised with an innovative light and drone show, accompanied by a musical-pyrotechnic spectacle. For the safety of guests, a special traffic organization will be implemented, with the isthmus being closed to motor vehicles between 19:30 and 00:30 hours.
