An unknown art collection from Valko Chervenkov's residence is visiting Burgas

A unique exhibition presents 49 works by Bulgarian and foreign artists from the late 19th to the mid-20th century, previously preserved in a state residence.

The Maritime Casino Cultural Center in Burgas will host an exceptional art exhibition that reveals a previously unknown art collection. The exhibition "An Unknown Collection" will be available to visitors only until August 16, presenting rich artistic heritage preserved for years in the residence of former Prime Minister Valko Chervenkov.

The donation from Dundee Precious Metals Chelopech includes an impressive 49 art works, covering a period of nearly seven decades. The collection offers exceptional diversity – from landscapes and portraits to historical scenes and still lifes, created by Bulgarian and foreign masters of the brush.

Among the most notable authors are representatives of the golden generation of Bulgarian artists: Anton Mitov, Konstantin Shtarkelov, Ivan Angelov, Nikola Tanev, Jordan Geshev, and Nevena Tuzsuzova. Special emphasis in the exhibition is also placed on works by European artists such as Mentsi Crnchich, Karl Ludwig Prinz, and Irma Komlosi, who complement the national artistic panorama.

Visitors will be able to view the exceptional works in two halls of the cultural center – "Georgi Baev" and "Al. G. Kodjakafalia". The exhibition's opening hours are daily from 10:00 to 20:00, with entry tickets differentiated according to various age groups.

The pricing policy is extremely accessible: adults pay 10 leva (5.11 €), while for students and pensioners the fee is half – 5 leva (2.56 €). Entry is free for children under 7 and people with disabilities. For group visits of over 8 people, a special discount of 7 leva (3.58 €) per person is applied.

Among the emblematic works that definitely deserve attention are "At the Fountain" by Ivan Angelov, "Landscape from Varshets" by Zdravko Alexandrov, "Chrysanthemums" by Irma Komlosi, and "The Spinner" by Kolyo Kolev.
