The National Assembly is set to vote on the election of a Governor and Deputy Governor for the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). This item has been included in the deputies' official agenda.
The Parliamentary Committee on Health heard the candidates for the position of Governor of the institution last week. Stanimir Mihaylov was nominated by "We Continue the Change," while Dr. Vladimir Vasev Daskalov is the nominee of "Progressive Bulgaria." For the position of Deputy Governor, only Zdravko Shushkov has been proposed, with the backing of the "Progressive Bulgaria" parliamentary group.
The deputies' schedule also includes a hearing for the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Shishkov. He is expected to report on the actual status of the contracts for the construction of the "Hemus" Motorway and the next steps for the project.
The agenda also includes the first reading of two bills regarding amendments to the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria. The proposals were submitted by the parliamentary groups of "Democratic Bulgaria" and "Progressive Bulgaria."
