Yesterday, the Parliamentary Social Commission approved changes to the Labor Code proposed by the Council of Ministers, which introduce a new mechanism for determining the minimum wage. These legislative initiatives were included as the first item on the agenda for today's session of the National Assembly.
Before discussions began, Asen Vasilev, chairman of "We Continue the Change," called for a quorum check, with 141 Members of Parliament registered in the hall. Due to the significance of the topic, Vasilev proposed that the debates be broadcast live through the media, but the parliamentary majority rejected this request.
The new mechanism for determining the minimum wage will affect the income of workers and business costs throughout the Burgas region.
Today's agenda also includes a second item: the first reading of amendments to the Digital Services Act and the Digital Content and Goods Sales Act. Additionally, the scheduled Friday parliamentary control session is set to take place.
