Police revelations regarding the incident in Bansko
Chief Inspector Hristiyan Parmakov, head of the Bansko Police Department, announced that the participants in the conflict between Bulgarians and foreigners, which took place on August 2, have been identified.
Numerous reports were filed regarding the case concerning noise, throwing of objects, and indecent behavior by a group of underage foreigners staying at a hotel in the city.
- Bulgarian and Israeli citizens have been identified.
- Physical altercations were prevented following police intervention.
- The hotel manager reported property damage amounting to 15,000 euros.
Parmakov emphasized that the incident is not related to anti-Semitic acts, as some speculations in foreign media suggested. The case has been reported to the prosecutor's office, and the mayor of Bansko, Stoycho Banenski, described the response of the law enforcement authorities as adequate.
