More than 800 children from 35 kindergartens marched through Burgas today in a parade for healthy eating, the council said. The parade is part of a Burgas council campaign that aims to help children build healthy, balanced eating habits from an early age.
This report follows our earlier article on the start of healthy eating week, which said all municipal kindergartens in Burgas would join in.
The parade went along Aleksandrovska Street and ended at the Snail (Okhlyuva) area in the Sea Garden. There the children performed a flash mob with messages about healthy living.
Organisers say attitudes to food form early in life, and events like this put the message across in a simple, fun way. The campaign says healthy eating gives children energy and helps them stay active as they grow.
All the kindergartens that took part received certificates.
