For the first time in its history, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organized a children's drawing competition dedicated to the making of the official Christmas card of the department. The initiative was realized under the patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev and was aimed at the children of the Ministry's employees.
The theme of the competition - "Christmas for all children around the world" - gave the youngest participants the opportunity to express through their creativity the messages of festive magic, compassion and hope, which go beyond national and cultural boundaries.
Dozens of children from different age groups took part in the initiative, submitting their works in accordance with the announced conditions and by November 10, 2025.
The drawings were made in free technique - with pencils, pastels, watercolor and tempera paints - and provided in digital format. All participants presented original and inspiring works, reflecting their personal view of Christmas as a universal holiday of goodness, peace and human solidarity.
After the completion of the reception of the works, a specially formed jury carried out their evaluation. As a result of a thorough review and discussion, 18 drawings were awarded among all submitted proposals.
The selected works will be used for the creation of the official Christmas greeting cards of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev will be sent to diplomats, heads of international organizations, representatives of political, academic and public life, as well as to the media in Bulgaria and the world.
In this way, the Christmas greeting of Bulgarian diplomacy this year will carry not only a festive message, but also the sincerity, imagination and talent of the children of the MFA employees.
All 18 award-winning participants received creative drawing sets and diplomas signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs as a prize - a gesture of recognition that will remain a lasting and valuable memory of their participation in this initiative.
