A wave of protests has swept across numerous cities in Bulgaria, with thousands of citizens taking to the streets with one common demand – the resignation of the government. The protests, organized in various cities such as Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad, Dobrich, Smolyan, and Montana, demonstrate growing discontent with the current administration.
Varna: Over 10,000 residents of Varna participated in the protest, expressing their disagreement with the government's policies and insisting on early parliamentary elections. The protest, organized by "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria", passed peacefully.
Burgas: Thousands of residents of Burgas gathered in front of the Municipality, expressing their discontent. During the protest, 9 people were detained, and the protesters demanded the resignation of the government and expressed disagreement with the budget.
Plovdiv: The protest in Plovdiv began at "Saedinenie" Square, with the protesters expressing their dissatisfaction and calling for change. The procession passed through different points of the city, with the demonstrators stating that they want accountability and integrity.
Other cities: There were also protests in Blagoevgrad, Dobrich, Smolyan, and Montana, where citizens also expressed their demand for the government's resignation and called for changes. In Smolyan, the organizers stated that the protest is non-partisan and expresses the will of the people.
