An excellent finish to the sailing season was achieved by the school of Yacht Club “Chernomorets” - Burgas, after the young talents of the club returned with prize distinctions from the prestigious international regatta Open Tekirdag Trophy, held last weekend in the Turkish city of Tekirdag.
The competition offered a real test for the young sailors - variable winds, strong pulsations, heavy rain, big waves, followed by periods of complete calm. Despite the harsh conditions, the competitors demonstrated high preparation, character and excellent technique, achieving impressive results.
Among the most outstanding competitors was Roman Konanov in the Optimist class, who impressed with his stable and confident sailing throughout all the races and deservedly climbed to first place among the boys in the younger age group.
In the Ilka 6 class, Semyon Emelianov again demonstrated consistency and character, confirming his excellent form from the whole season. He fought a tough battle with the competitors of the hosts and fought for the prestigious second place.
No less impressive was the performance of Anna Konanova, who in the girls' younger age group in the Optimist class managed to prevail in strong and ambitious competition. With her concentration and perseverance, she deservedly finished in third place, adding another significant success to the club's collection.
The successful performance in Tekirdag is yet another proof of the high level of the school of Yacht Club “Chernomorets” - Burgas and serves as a strong motivation for the upcoming regattas next season. The young Burgas hopes continue to confidently conquer international waters and glorify their hometown.
