A total of 104 young teachers from the city and their mentors will be recognized for their successful start in the profession. The ceremony, which is expected to be a significant event for the educational community, will take place tomorrow, Thursday, in the auditorium of the College of Tourism in "Lake" Park.
The event, organized by the Municipality, has become a tradition, bringing together teachers and employees in the field of education, and is dedicated to the Day of the Enlighteners – November 1st. The initiative aims to pay deserved tribute to the new teachers who have decided to dedicate themselves to the profession, which is at the heart of the development of society.
The young teachers, starting their professional development in the field of education in the city, total 104 people during this school year. Of these, 17 are appointed in 12 kindergartens, and the remaining 87 – in 34 schools.
From the kindergartens, the largest number of teachers this school year are appointed in Kindergarten "Zvezditsa Zornitsa", Kindergarten "Veselushko" and Kindergarten "Dolphin". The schools that attract the most new teachers are SU "Yordan Yovkov" – with 8 newly appointed teachers, the Professional High School of Marine Shipping and Fisheries "Saint Nicholas" – with 7, the Specialized High School for Foreign Languages "Vasil Levski" – with 5, SU "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski" – with 5, Secondary School "Dobri Chintulov" – with 5 and AEG "Geo Milev" – with 4.
In addition to the young teachers, this year the efforts of their mentors will also be recognized. They have played a key role, providing support and passing on their experience to the newly appointed teachers at the beginning of their careers.
The mentors have undergone training under the "Young Teachers" program of the Municipality. This project is the result of the purposeful long-term efforts of the municipal administration, aimed at retaining young teachers. The program provides the necessary conditions for support, professional qualification and full career development. The training was carried out by the team of the "Together in Class" foundation.
The hosts of the grand spectacle, dedicated to the national enlighteners and education, will be the young actors from the Theater College "Lyuben Groys" – Alexander and Alexandra. To make the festive atmosphere even more exciting, the Latin dance couple Diyan Gospodinov and Kalina Alcheva will take care of it, and the musical mood will be reinforced by the performances of Krisia Milkova with the song "The First Teacher" (music and arrangement by Georgi Miltiyadov, lyrics by Teodora Valeva) and Ivayla Goranova with the song "Shores" (music and arrangement by Georgi Miltiyadov, lyrics by Desi Sofranova). The atmosphere will be filled with enthusiasm and excitement as those present pay tribute to those who have chosen to dedicate their lives to education.
