The Center for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation “Alef” invites students from creative fields to participate in the 13th edition of the International Film and Literary Youth Competition “He Who Saves One Human Life, Saves the Entire Universe”.
The competition unites young artists from all over the world, with their works telling the story of the power of the human spirit, courage, and the choice to preserve human life. The historical act of saving the Bulgarian Jews during the Holocaust is at the center of the works.
The theme of the competition for students is “In the Leading Role: Humanity”. The organizers expect bold, honest, and emotional works that use the power of theater, dance, and cinema.
Conditions for participation:
- Each student can participate with one project, individually or as a team.
- Projects must be created specifically for the competition.
- Films are up to 10 minutes in length.
- Performances - from 15 to 20 minutes.
- Projects are sent to the email: [email protected], along with information about the authors.
- Deadline for participation: May 14, 2026.
The laureates will receive certificates, financial awards, and opportunities to participate in international cultural forums.
Selected films and performances will be presented on the stage of the NHC Cultural Center - Burgas on May 24, 2026, within the framework of the International Youth Literary and Film Festival “Friendship - Meaning and Salvation”. Burgas will become a meeting place for ideas, generations, and cultures.
