Employees of the Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime have detained a 21-year-old man who used other people's user data to make online orders for his own benefit. The arrest was carried out on June 10 under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, after receiving signals from users about the illegal use of their computer data.

In the course of the investigation, evidence was gathered that the detainee illegally accessed and subsequently traded information from hacked and drained foreign profiles, to which he gained access through websites and mobile applications. The data was most often used for unauthorized access to people's profiles, in whose name various types of online orders were placed, including for food delivery and car rental.

During the search of the suspect's home, foreign bank cards, mobile phones, as well as over 400 grams of marijuana and 68 grams of cocaine were found. The investigation of the case continues under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office.
